Fred, you're right but how else will you find out who you're dealing with unless you push a little.
I shall check out the threads on the relevant subject and hopefully find a bike that's right.
Hope no-one's too pissed off. It wasn't intended.

BTW, no-one here thinks they're better than anyone else, so to accuse anyone of elitism will piss them off!
I do.
Cockbiter.

I saw those ones Hippy. Do you think something like that will hold up well? I heard stories of dodgy crank fittings.

It may come as a surprise to you, but masturbation is by no means confined to the male of the species...

@ And-E - worth saying before you start you'll be going second hand for an OTP under £300 mate, unless you include the much-debated Unipac.
edit: way late on that one.
-
• #315
Thanks PJ's. I'm assuming the debating on Unipac is here so will take a look. My other option is a fuji Track if I push the budget a bit.
-
• #316
I think it's fair to say the latter is generally respected whereas the former is generally despised.
I'll repeat myself like a stuck record just to represent though: for £300 and a lot of concentration you can build your own conversion based on a second-hand road frame that pisses on the OTPs around. IMO.

Do NOT buy a unipack.

I meant that. Under £300 online.

Listen to the Hippy...
I just ordered a Fuji Track today. The cheapest is from Biddle Bikes but I didn't like the fact I couldn't get through to anyone.
I ordered it from a nice chap called Fred. He runs the site Fred's Treads
You can ring him on mobile or landline. He is selling the Fuji's for £305 inc courier delivery. If you order one, tell him Edd sent you! I said I would put in a good word for him!

I won't Hippy. Just read the threads and they sound terrible. May attempt to acquire a frame and convert or look at a Fuji.
Thanks for your help.
