I'm perplexed how the smoke inhabitants get the absolute silence considering the environment they generally ride in.

well, when I bomb around town, I can really feel it's me doing the work, the bike is almost like an extension of the body, an old bullshit I know (as a lots of people here would probably said), but it does feel like that, riding my Kona town bike doesn't give me that illusion, there's not much work to be done at all to cycle up to town comfortably, especially since i don't feel the road that much, the saddle absorb the shock, etc.

Sunny day, silent bike, and all the cunts on here! I love you kids. :)

most certainly the feeling of riding fixed, having all the torque connected directly to your legs.
oh and the fact that its getting my fat ass back in shape fast(er?)

I love the squeaking noise my hubs make, and the grinding crunch of dirt in my chain.

and the wild screams of the pedestrians that fail to spot you in time

The fact that every bike shop I go into I always get a load of compliments from the staff . . . oh and they like my bike too! ;)

I like to be able to brake in the wet. My legs work better than any other brake I know.

that the one conception I like about fixed wheels, it feel like you're the brake you can trust yourself, not a little cable with levels and such doing it for you that made you feel like your life depend on that simple little cable to brake.

The absolute silence is amazing
You've not heard WAC roll by, then?

I like never losing the chain and never screwing up the derailleur.

yeah, you really learn about where to put your weight to help stop faster as opposed to depending on brakes
-

I love fixed.. because it makes me really appreciate that light geared bike I use on weekends.
Haha! :P

your entire body really have to work on the bike, slight movement can make a difference, that true to every kind of bike (especially full-suspension downhill), but I find fixed wheel bicycles to be more sensitive.

Farting - while making it look like an effortlessly cool hop skid.

The control.
The worst is often lack of control.

Mocking people who aren't riding fixed.

I must admit, I have turned into a bit of a bike racist.
