Tufo Clincher Tubular Tyres

So you have all the convenience of using a clincher rim, with the lightness etc. of a tub, but they still look like a total arse to mend punctures on? If so what is point?

high psi? less rolling resistance? better feel of the road? less prone to pinch flats? etc.
