hey eWoo. yep, that's me too. aimless cycling is the antidote for stubborn ideas/writers block/ laptop curvature of the spine. i usually have to stop though and write things on my arms. never remember to carry paper, but always seem to have a pen. where do you ride aimlessly?

I know of two, both on this forum + Dogs was a lecturer but then took a step back to post doc.

I know one lecturer riding fixed (langster) and a technician also.
I'm doing my PhD (engineering), spending much of my time in the "lab" breaking my bike.
Well, is there anyone on here who is a phd / post-doc/ lecturer that rides fixed?
Although I havent got my fixed ride yet I do find aimlessly riding around for an hour or so is a great way to lift the depression that is phd research...
