Better post my news here too; from the "humbug Rubino" thread.
STOP THE PRESSES
I just got off the phone from Michael Elson who distributes Vitorria and he confirmed the all white Zaffiro Pro and Rubino Pro will be hitting UK stores "within the month" or so. No price premium.
He said Wiggle will have them. I'm waititng for an email back from them to say when.

- Yes, last chance to buy.* They are they last pair I have.
You can also just get one if you want. They are the remnants of a box full I bought in for forum members.

-

Got these from Probikekit and Wiggle have them now too, white sidewall Rubino pro. I think these are the ones Mike Elson was referring to not the all whites.

I have a pair of the all white Vittoria Zaffiro2 but they are not Pro's - not had a flat yet, just waiting to see if a mate wants them for his new build, if not, I can sell them if anyone is interested.
Just ordered a a set of these.

after slicing a tyre open in brixton at the start of my ride yesterday, i swapped to a 700x25 panaracer as above. fitted like a 700x19, not the best tyre, felt like a cyclocros tyre mated to an armidillo :(
-
• #64
Thought they might be good for the winter rides... and kinda like the look of them.
Think I am starting to get a tire fetish!!! -

what's the tpi on those whiteboys kinky tom? and adoubletap you did very well to get them so quick - couldn't see any specific reference to them on wiggle, I must have missed something.

The new Rubino Pro (I got this from another thread via Horatio):
http://www.probikekit.com/display.php?code=Y1151
Not white all over, but Horatio was under the impression the walls could be a stronger material than previous Rubino Pros. (previous RPs were 120tpi)

They are the white/white option on the RP page at Wiggle but only 1 left.
PBK had two drops of them and I'd recommend using their email notification to see if they come back in. £11.95 each was a bargain

yeah saw the w/w option on wiggle, waiting for new order now - but they look to be very good tyres. What they riding like just out of interest?
12 quid's a steal

My skillz in finding objects that will slash sidewalls is undiminished but only managed to get a sliver-like needle of glass through them so far.
There's lots of good comments about Rubino Pros on here but I was riding Schwalbe Ultremos before these which are probably an unfair comparison. They were sticky light and fast but not exactly hardwearing. Bit too Formula 1.

They are only the low 23TPI version, bought them when I was in Japan.
Like I said, not had a problem yet - even been new to fixed and hitting lots of potholes etc...Hope to see the chap who might want them this week, so can let you know what he says.

dont need them anymore, Rubino Pro's courtsey of wiggle.
