don't know if this helps but was riding down borough high street at about 3.30 today and saw a dude wheeling a grey single speed down the road so paid a bit more attention, it didn't have a top tube protector and had electrical tape where most would have a keirin style tube protector, had silver handlebars too.

guy was a tall skinny jean wearing type brown hair.

i was going to go back and ask but he seemed to have disappeared when i turned round....

Was he eating a cake of any type? Near London's Famous Borough Market, so a definite maybe... Long shot, I know...

its possible he was eating cake, bit early in the week for the good ones to turn up in that neck of the woods if you get what i mean...
