I bet that bomber was a bugger to ride into the ubiqitious St Andrew's wind?
-
• #9
lol, i think my profile pic has been decided,
yeah the bomber with its sturmey archer 3 speed lol, varients of the one speed then, plus i got the 24'' wheel model for the lowrider look,
who needs a turbo trainer when you can cycle in st andrews wind
good for the powerkites tho -

My first 'real' bike was a black and red raleigh burner I used it pretty much every day from the age of 6 to 16, I rue the day that mountain bike came into my life and my dad gave the burner to the next door neighbors bratty kids.

cheers mate plenty more where that came from
raleigh made a centeinary model racer and did it in gold superchrome
its basically a film applied over a chrome frame which makes it look like solid gold,
doesnt age well and flakes off like a bad varnish not many people can redo it these days this had to be stripped and sent down south ( south as in england i was in glasgow at the time)
charge did a gold plug too eh??hopefully i'll get an old raleigh racer frame i can really get stuck into
all the best dude

Hi guys just a quick intro may be a bit overdue and will hopefully inspire less farmyard bird comments
always loved my bikes especially all things retro and simple where i could restre build customs etc, the tech of MTB's has always left me a bit confused.
over last few years been involved in the retro raleigh clubs,
built from the ground up this little lot....
restored this bomber for cruising around St Andrews home of golf when i was there for a year,
sold all these and bought my NS Core, awesome company and brilliant bike, combines all the appeals of BMX, simple funky website eithout an emphasis on xt this carbon that, simple functional bikes fit for purpose....
moved to London from Glasgow 2 weeks ago, been hankering for a fixed speed ever since i seen a charge plug while looking into buying a charge freeride MTB.
now determined to use my move here as an excuse to get or build one
all the best guys
