Viruses are fantastic if it the right one, the worse thing about it is that staying in bed isn't as comfortable as not having a virus.
I got Glandular fever last year, had it for 2 months and lost two stones easily, thought I wouldn't want to recreate that experience again.

Got home heavily jet lagged yesterday; overslept today and went to the football this afternoon.
If you went to 'the football' in the afternoon then you don't know what oversleeping is all about.
Lightweight !

Hopefuly, it wasn't White Hart Lane you went to, otherwise, I imagine you would feel a lot worse

Flu did this to me earlier in the year. Was laid up for a week, feverish and unable to eat. Fastest two stone I ever lost.
WARNING: Consult your physician or a qualified medical expert before using influenza as a form of weight loss.
I've just been away on business for the past two weeks and for most of the latter part of the trip I was struck low with a nasty virus which precluded me from going to the gym. At least it meant that despite business breakfasts, lunches and dinners every day, I actually lost weight.

And then, this evening, I hopped on my bike and rode to the office and back to take in my laptop and brief case. It felt so good to be back on my bike and so pleasant to cycle that route without too much traffic.
Can't wait until the morning! It's good to be back.
