Good deal for 40 notes. What is it?

Yeah, I bought a wheel from Condor last year, deep section DT Swiss rim on a flip/flop condor hub. I'd be looking at around £70 for it though.
So if you can get one for £40, go for it.

Cool, just make sure its not a "spare" unipack wheel.

its not, he's making it from scratch, good eh?!? its gonna have fixed one side (18 tooth cos front ring 52 tooth) freewheel other side (have to pay for fixed sprocket/locknut, got freewheel already). I'll see how it turns out, if good i'll recommend his shop to you guys, if not i'll warn you to steer clear.

this cant be happening to me!!!! just put on wheel... 622 not 700! !!skcollob!!! back to the drawing board!!!!

I could be wrong but as far as I knew 622cm is the bead size of 700c wheel(and tire). Of course the c doesn't stand for cm that would be way too easy. So so long as you have taken that size from a tire, you have yourself a 700c wheel. Obviously the wheel from edge to edge is going to be a bit more like 630ish cm to allow for the bead to clinch to the rim, but I suspect you're all good. I think the bead size is called the Erco(?) if you want to check it. Good luck.

Your wheel is too small? The bike maybe takes 27"s (<= tyres are 630 for these), not 700c (<= tyres are 622 for these).

And if it did originally take 27" wheels and you want to ride the free side, I'm sure someone on here has an old weinmann calliper which will be long enough to stretch the extra bit to a 700c rim so you can ride it regardless. Or just forget the freewheel, ride the fixed side and no rear brake. It'll be all good, and for £40, great!

I am a bit of a thicko! 622 is 700. original wheel is 27" I put some fancy arse racer brake on and it didnt reach the rim so I thought is was the wrong size wheel, doh!! will put original brake on as it seems to have a bit more reach. the guy in the shop very helpful (wilsons in peckham) I highly recommend them.

HOORAY!!! its on my bike... works good... nice & smooth... £40 well spent. oh yeah, I got my back brake working... front brake didn't have spring so took it off, will replace when poss... looking for 17 tooth fixed sprocket for other side (if anyones got one spare would be most grateful) the thread is one size all the way on both sides... bloke in shop said I could use a bb lockring to hold on fixed sprocket, got one off a geoffery butler frame it had italian made bb, the cranks wouldn't fit on my BSA so tried the lockring & it fit perfectly HOORAY again.

be careful with that, it is a suicide hub and can be deathly. If the locking ring get loose, the sprocket will get loose and them you will be in shit, no nice!!
no good hub, no good man in the shop!!
what you have is a free-free hub, what you need a fix-free or a fix-fix.
now I understand why was so cheap :(
may god and luck help you.

Might run it free/free with different ratios then, don't fancy falling in front of a bus at the mo. what if I glue it on?
Hi all, was wondering if anyone has a flip flop wheel for sale? Would prefer fixed on one side, freewheel on other, but the wheel would do me just fine. The guy in my local bike shop said £40 can anyone do better than that?
