  • Just picked up underlayers today, aldi all the way €12. T and under leggings, seem to be good shizz.
I also picked up a cycling jacket, windproof water resistant seems good and two waterproof leggings.

'In which Aldi did you got the goodies

  • Embers Merino are having a autumn sale and have some baselayers included.

  • Well in Ireland actually, if they havent they should have the stuff over there soon enough.
Well that would be the logical thing for them to do, the stuff nearly all sold out in one day here, and it came out yesterday.

  • Just checked the .co.uk site and it looks like they have been and gone.

  • +1 for the above. It's been keeping me warm recently.

  • +1 to this thread - my lungs were on fire after a couple of hours this morning.
I'll pore through the posts and see what suits me.

Though I might just go topless and carve HTFU in my back with an allen-key.

their hoodie jacket is great so i presume that the base layers would be nice too...

Got one of their base layers and was really happy with it - great fit, great design along with the 'odour eating' property of merino - only problem seems to be that i have somehow worn through the back in a couple of places so not sure how resilient they are!

Have one short sleeve Rapha - really great - but didnt stay white for long ha ha ha...

M&S do merino mix short/long sleeve T's light and heavy weight - great for the really cold months!

  • We need a list, clearly...
    oh fuck

  • Bass slayer?

Looks more like a rainbow trout to me...

    Pedant fail.

    oh fuck

but who among us could prepare such a list?

fuck off both of you, picking on poor grenville.

  • Ice Breakers from Ellis Brigham are awesome for when it's cold. Superfine merino wool and flatlocked seams for comfort, nice long sleves too.

Icebreaker is the best i've tried so far.
Admittedly a bit pricey but keeps shape and quality forever, and really doesn't stink at all.

  • That's cos you don't sweat Sol...you 'glow' ;)

Famously, Grenville can actually take a joke.
He can also stand up for himself...

  • No, this is a bass slayer...

  • fuck off both of you, picking on poor grenville.

  • I think BMMF is on to something with these.

I bought this. it's itchy as hell so am sending it back.
    buy cheap buy twice
    what's the swerve like?

I like the Infil ones. Currently £6.29 (l/s or s/s or vest) at probikekit.

They're a synthetic/wool blend, itch a tiny bit more than superfine merino (only notice for about a minute), regulate temperature as well, resist pong, and are longer lasting. Superfine merino gets holes in it quickly, from rubbing of bags/overgarments, washing machine, moths (they love the stuff).

  • That's a shame, nice price, not so nice garment. I'm pretty sure Brixton Cycles have the Swrve tops in at the moment; pastel blue, long sleeve and very soft. Can't remember what the price tag said though.

  • .

  • I've heard good things about these:
