  • anyone have a ladies frame they don't want, perhaps bought to build up something pretty for the woman you love, then abandoned?

not having such a gentleman in my life, but more because i want to and have lots of bits of bike taking up space in my room, i'm going to attempt to build me something for those skirt-necessary days.

around the 49cm mark, not too dear, not really fussed otherwise. fanks

  • chances are good for finding one that a student has abandoned up here, will tell you if i find one.

  • Hey fluff, I don't have a frame...but I am a gentleman ;-)

  • I've got a few frames knocking about, they're taking up space as I don't ride them. pm me what you after, better still, you can come & pick one (or more) from the pile(s) of metal in my bro's garden. there's all sorts at reasonable prices.

  • I have a white Raleigh - Pashley look a like frame / full bike stored somewhere. It was for my lady but then she abandoned it as we moved to North London :S I'll try to get her to snap some pics for you if you're interested as I'm out of the country atm.

    cheers

  • Can I get second dibs on a ladies-framed full bike if there is more than one going spare (55 or 56cm)? The more of a hack bike it is the better, cheers.

Get a normal frame and just ride it in your underwear, simple. Put the skirt back on when you get to your destination.

Negative rep is the new positive rep.

  • I want more then, I really need to piss more people off. Only noticed the other day that Gabes gave me some back in August, cheers Gabes. Neg Rep is the new black.

  • Fluff, the lady will take some snaps for u. Hopefully by the wkend. Ta.

  • I do have a 531 approx 20" circa 70's road frame to clear, slot rear ends. I'll try to post a pic to temp someone, its white with chequered blue. Suggest would need long reach brake calipers. Open to offers or swappsies.

Andddddd I do have a curly tube low pro approx 55cm AENDE dark metallic silver with 700c carbon/alu forks with screw steerer h/set. bb, stubby seat pin too- I take a 29 & 1/2 centre to top of saddle and there's a small amount of pin to play with before a longer one is needed (the pin depth into the frame can't be very long as the seat tube starts to curve early on.

Was a 650/700 frame originally, now 700/700, have raced it on Manchester with success, steers a straight line fantastically, bends need thought.

  • I have a 1970s heavy pink ladies sloping top tube bike. It cost me £23. Ideally i'd get £23 back for it, but i'll take £10.

it is surprisingly heavy. it is sort of average woman size (ie 5'4-5'9ish) and i think it works ok, the gears are prob a bit dodgy. i guess you could make it SS. come and get it this weekend from waterloo.
