Shortarse to shortarse I can sympathise. My fixed pista is only a 49! Took me a while to find something with enough ball clearance (technical term). Aside from annoying pedal overlap it feels the same size as my geared bike which is a 52, but I prefer something a little smaller for town riding anyway. Things do come up on the bay etc but it's worth either trying them (if possible) or overlaying a pic of your current ride in photoshop so you can compare geometry/clearance etc.
