I had a frame that seemed to have no markings but after stripping the paint the marking became clear. This may be the case with your frame.
Or maybe it's one of the fake Mercians that I've been flooding the market with. I love fleecing these hipsters.

What did you do with that red-wonky-stayed frame you had?

still riding it, but constantly trying make dogballs feel guilty about it. Which is hard, cos he's a cold, cold dude.

Nice work. How would one change gear on that?????
Using gears and deraillieurs ... I'm not considering the sturmey archer route. Yet!
The shifters and front mech need to be 'band on' as it's currently set up, if that's what you're asking about, Ant.
VB why I started two threads, I'll never know. Can you merge these please?

Sure... but where's the other one? And don't trust that I'll read everything. Leave a message on my wall thing on my profile with links to both threads and it will be done.

dogsballs - Dude! I just read this!
Might well be up for that brake, man. is it a bolty-onny? I'll have a rear one like you said, if so, seeing as I expertly redrilled the Geoff B myself ;)Actually I seem to have centred the wheel quite nicely using that method of tensioning made famous by MikeC at our last stop on the Southend ride... sitting behind bike with feet on pedals to pull wheel... a bit of twist... seems fine. I've heard about your cold-setting, doesn't it involve a bit of scaffold and jumping up and down on it!?

Band on means that you don;t have any bosses for gear paraphenalia, they just use bands to hold em on.
Just got me a nice Nuovo Record groupset, woo hoo.
