• #628
I got hit by a Polish white van in central London, hopefully if the pain doesn´t get worse I can make it.
-
• #629
fuck ed, are you okay?
-
• #630
I´m still alive aren´t I? after all, a couple of bruised and the bike fine, which is better than what could happen.
-
• #631
sorry to hear it ed, glad you're okay. i crashed into a small work van on thursday when the fucker cut across me to turn left at the last second - he didn't even know i'd hit his car until i showed him my bleeding finger, he only stopped because there was a car in front of him!
so come down tomorrow anyway ed, i'll keep you company in the minor injuries section! (i'm hoping yours are minor too)

Shit, it's bloody bicycle crash central this week. Get well soon everyone.
Whilst we're on sick notes, I've got the cold from hell this week. To much fannying around playing silly buggers at a raft race in the canal methinks.
Still runny noses aside, I'll try and come by tomorrow.
Ace photo's Fred, you're a bloody star.

my wrist is swelling like crazy, hope it´s not broken, can´t go tomrrow annoyingly, fucking polish driver.
-
• #634
ed, go to hospital dude. if it's not broken you'll be happy to hear it. if it is then you;ll be happy you went!
-
• #635
thanks for the complements guys but I rate these photos about 4/10.
One I'm happy with, the rest are mediocre IMO.
-
• #636
doubt it's broken, otherwise the pain would've come straightaway rather than gradually build up slowly over time, just really badly sprained, off to hospital first thing, now i got an old sock and ruler to keep it straight, an advantages of having parents who are doctors i suppose.

Doesn't sound too good.
You guys be careful out there, I won't be along to do my lifeguarding duties tonight. I'll be keepin' it gangsta at the O2 Kano gig. Brrrraaappp!!! ...and all that jazz.

• #638
I've got the cold from hell as well. I think I'm gonna have to skip this tonight. Which is really, really annoying because I was looking forward to it.
-
• #639
oh julio...........

-
• #640
I'm out. sorry but have to collect a friend from the airport.
-
• #641
The swelling has gotten down quite a lots and a bit less painful than yesterday but still sore, doubt it'll heal by evening, argh.
-
• #642
well it's not sounding great for tonight is it?
I have stuff to do myself after seven / seven thirty so might make it a very short one myself or make my excuses...I guess if I see you I see you...

• #643

Everyone,
I've invited the whole forum down to next Tuesday's meet. I've given no notice for this - I know. The reason is we needed a known location that people could easily find. So one that people know about seemed like a good start. Bear with me, it's a good cause:

well people did show up, just not maybe at the time you were there - but yeah it was a "quiet" night, too many people with obligations at the same time for once. I'd\ like to say same time next week but...

(HGV campaign)er...maybe a pm would have been nicer? tricks are very separate to this - there are people who come who aren't on the forum (including some local kids) and I'm not sure the picture you have in your mind is the same as the reality - relatively few people come along. you could easily have called another, more visible / well-known meeting point (eg one of the polo courts) and I'm not sure what the reaction of the car park will be to (possibly) scores of people coming down from all cycling backgrounds to hold a meeting.

this will likely be an issue...

a pub, public house where group of people go for a pints and sometime chat.
nothing more inviting and fitting to hold a meeting than the top of a freezing car park roof!
hey julio, carrots do help, carrot cake in particular - feel free to bring some! ; )
well done on the camber ride phil, and everyone else who did it!
see ya tomorrow
