Toby, the thing with forks is you can always cut them down, so the extra threaded steerer tube might not be a bad thing.
it infact should be fine, 102mm isn't threaded, which will be in your headtube.

No issues with thread when cutting down? Any suggestions on decent cheap headsets, i'm hitting the bay.
