We take words for granted, but they are so important. When you lose words, or their meaning changes, you lose the ability to express yourself.

Calling someone a cunt won't mean the same thing, so i'll have to find another word.

But shit - there'll be no other words left.

Don't worry, we won't run out, I am working on a few new ones at the moment, and I suspect I am not the only one.

So far I have got:

"Trute" - Small highly compressed man.

"Cluppers" - A pair of clups.

"Clup" - A very soft cup.

"Grantadisiomous" - A biscuit that has been eaten but not enjoyed.

I have others, but they are no where near as brilliant at these ones.

Nigger and Paki are quite controversial words, and they have already caused divisions in society, because they mean very different things to different people. It's good in a way, because they have become words of empowerment, but cunt has not been, and has no intention to be reclaimed by women.

I agree, 'Nigger' as a pejorative has had it's power sapped by that part of - mainly - African American culture that has co-opted the word and used it in a very different context. I have argued in the past that those who criticise parts of the Hip-Hop / Rap / R&B commnuity (and my mum) who use the word - these people who would hope to curtail it's use - are kind of saying (to me at least) 'don't sap it's power'. - 'give this weapon back to the racists'. (although I appreciate the argument is more complex than that).

So it's still bad manners and really, just plain vulgar. Obviously, there's a place for it, but not in every fucking thread . . .

Oh the irony ! ;P There are some people out there that will find 'fucking' to be offensive, where do we draw the line? I am not sure we should self censor for fear of offending someone, if their sensibilities are fragile and are easily offended then it is up to them to avoid places where people use words that they disapprove of (the cunts).
