carefully hold the badge then take an angle grinder to the frame - job done!
or you could drill out the rivets :)

never done it with a badge but i have removed rivets, i would use a tiny drill bit and a hand drill.

they are not usually attached very strongly, the rivet type that is.
Just wedge a thin screwdriver under neath working around it, slowly pulling it off.
If you can be bothered though, you could remove the fork and push it out from the inside of the headtube.

Removed it without a mark and thought I'd share how for anyone looking to do the same. Simply use a centre-punch on each rivet and lightly tap it with a hammer/mallet until the rivet is pushed in far enough to lift the badge away. The metal of the rivets is very soft and the badge came away without a fuss.

Sweet, this is very helpful, does anyone know how to re-rivet a badge back on? what type of rivet etc?

Simple, just use a pop rivet gun and a few pop rivets of the width you need..
as below....

I've literally just done mine, I found I needed to clip some of the excess rivet away on the inside of the head tube so my forks would fit in, bit of a PITA when youve already installed the bearing cups, complete with greased up bearings and new paintwork...

Best way to remove a head tube badge is take your fork and headset out and file the back of the rivots! ive always done it this way as there is no way of bending your lovely badge :)
Someone has a head-tube badge they're willing to give me for my frame if they can remove it cleanly from their very bent frame. It's the standard two rivets attachment. What's the best way to take it off without damaging it? Thanks!
