Bought any new home electronics?
Are they cordless? -

your girlfriend been out for quick spin?

I blame the illegal immigrants, that or they are propped next to something with inductive properties, washing machine near by perhaps? Any thing with a brushless motor would more than likely do the job if it was close enough.

i reckon it might be broken

no its your lights... flash at a frequency that fucks with the speedo.

Aha! Washing machine is indeed nearby. So, how does that work then mister?
The bugger is to reset them I'm pretty sure I have to wipe all stored data and start from scratch, rather than being able to select one reading and reset that, which is pretty silly.
Grrr.

It would just recreate the magnetic field traveling past the sensor. telling your computer the wheel was moving. I don't know whether this would require a brushless motor to do this as my knowledge of induction is very flacky as I have forgotten alot but it would defiantly work with a brushless motor, someone with better EE knowledge would need to step in. Some washing machines have a brushless motor though I think but I would guess it's the more expensive ones.

Cordless drill? Was putting up blinds over the weekend...

Bin them and count lampposts
Count them for distance (LP) and speed, eg 112LPH
I think you'll find it more accurate and enjoyable

• #12
have you calibrated them correctly?
it's that or giant magnets.

Why reset them? You can now show off to any roadies you meet. They spend hours sitting in pubs swapping cycling computer and powertap info.
Ask hippy for more info on this.

See, if they were my computers.. I wouldn't be too worried.. but seeing as though they belong to someone else, ie. someone slower, they definitely need checking..
:-D
What is this witchcraft?! I have two different computers fitted to two different bikes. But for the max speed readout one now says 70mph and the other 76mph. Both bikes are kept in the flat. All other stats are as they should be in terms of distance covered, average speed, etc. etc.. Wtf?!
