Deleting posts?

Hi velocity boy,

Is it possible to get a Delete feature added? It'd be nice to be able to kill off posts which have already been answered, or are just sh1te, etc.
Most of my posts are random dribble so I reckon it'd be cool to clean threads by deleting some of them.
You can edit a post but it requires a single char to remain which is a bit annoying.
Thoughts?

Yeah, I like to think I'm funny. It's not the random dribble ones so much as the ones you post an answer and while you were typing it someone beat you there with the very same answer..
or just real total utter bull sphincter emissions that are a waste of electrons to transmit to your eyeballs..

I don't even look at that thing. I don't like post counts coz it makes people post shit just to get their count up. I post shit because I like posting shit and it's not all shit.. is it?

Deleting... hmmm. Sometimes there's a need (dupes), but mostly there isn't.

Even if you've asked something that has already been answered, the presence of the question and answer help others to have that same question answered in future by searching for it.

Plus, if you deleted there would be holes in the conversation and it would retrospectively be hard to follow. If you and aidan had a conversation and you deleted all of your posts, it would look like aidan is crazier than he is, talking to himself. It's better for aidan if you couldn't delete your posts, if you wanted to wipe your post just edit it down to a ".". This was aidan won't look quite so crazy.

hahaha I didn't think of making aidan appear even crazier than he is. I like it though. The Delete option is dead! All hail the delete option!
Instead of editing my posts with "." I will insert whole new conversations with aidan to make him appear totally loony.. awesome fun for the whole family! :D

aidan: don't stress man... it's impossible to increase your craziness and therefore pointless for me to edit any posts. :P

hey VB, how about deleting an entire shite thread one may have started, er, i have started? i have gone to my user page, looked at the threads started by me and it looks like i have the option to delete them but when i try to click on the pretty blue box to select it, it wont let me. any ideas or is this kind of thing out of bounds? cheers.
