thats 3 stolen bikes reported on the forum in two days - surely this must be a record.

wednesday night my housemates GT roads bike was stolen from bricklane..
We'll be going down bright and early to the brick lane market to stalk.
its metalic grey with yellow detail and is like our boy shin's sweet track version... but road.
if any feels like joining us there'll be beigls and coffee too.

if is that one I think, the bike is stolen for sure.

anyone know the story on this bike?

ok, cause i saw it twice today. kid riding it told me he had a time trial bike, too, worth 8 grand, and some other bikes. i can't imagine ever being able to afford a bike worth a fraction of 8 grand, so it struck me as a little odd.

Its very easy to make assumptions on the way someone looks...until you see this 8 grand bike don't believe it.

no, I don't know, and I never say it is for sure, just suspect it, and this is a total personal remark without any prove behind it

(to aidan) i agree completely. sounded just like boasting. however, i did a search on the forum, found the bicycle in question mentioned on this thread by two separate members, and so thought i should enquire further. i'm not making any accusations, just trying to get more information.

No worries then my Mate saw him the other night and wondered aswell about the Brooks tool bag-sorry if it was 'Racist' thats a nice set up he has. Looks like ££ been put into it. probably looked dodgy as he looked at my bike worth the cost of his wheels!

STOLEN today, 06/10/08, between 13:45 and 16:30

Locked around a tree outside the entrance to bike shed of Imperial College in South Kensington
Lock is gone too (its a yellow-orange Oxford cable lock).

It's a black Giant Bowery '08.
It's a large size.
Has a flip-flop rear wheel.
About 2 months old (used regularly, but not every day), a little dirty.

Has the brackets for Cateye lights on the handlebar and seatpost (I have the lights) as well as a front and rear circular reflector.
The cap of the presta valve on the rear wheel is missing.
The brake lever cap on the left hand side of the handle bars is scuffed where the silver metal cap is.

Otherwise it looks just like it came from the shop.
