Spacing out the rear or changing bb spindle lengths/chainset would be the way to go.
Head to Sheldon or search the forum for "chainline".

I have an langster. How is your chainline awful? Are you using the original cranks and bb from the langster?
How come you cant just put a normal sprocket on that Halo... Or better still use the 16t sprocket that came with the langster?
going fixed on langster. have a freewheel with halo track wheels atm...but the chainline is awful and noisey.
any pointers where to get a suitable sprocket which is offset slightly?
