Eccentric Bottom Bracket

The BB spindle on new style shimano cranks is part of the right hand crank...so if you add 5mm on each side of the BB then the spindle would be 10mm too short to fit in the left crank....if that makes sense?

aha, ye i get you. didn't realise shimano changed their cranks to that. Is that a good thing ?

so ye this eccentric BB must have been made to fit, but what size is the BB spindle ? must be pretty wide though, too wide i'd reckon.

109-111 for a good chainline, and by the looks of it the shimano is wider than that.
