Because they have the barrel type lock which is very easily picked plus the lings in the middle are also known to be easy to defeat by twisting.
Ive heard of them locks coming apart with twisting too, plus they just look so weak!
I know someone who uses one on their bike, I think I might have a go at stealing it to teach them a lesson!
