Tynan, the man who pimps coloured things. 2 Minutes ago whoring his services my way.
Cheers dude.
Object, escaping from the banana factory to get involved in a shady tool deal.
I went straight to the sweet shop and spent all the cash on boiled sweets.

hillbilly on Walworth Rd (me & dogs were on the way back from 65 miles in Kent with illy, claus, and caspar) - rode together as far as the North side of London Bridge, attracting attention from pigs on bikes.
We were doing nothing wrong, so they must have been admiring our poise and grace.

Last night, BP garage Greenwich, gent on a Chrome Charge and his girl buying wine.
BMMF how was Yorks? Did it last week and prob tomorrow, I entered the Hill Climb but supposed to be doing a Senior/Vet 2-up TT the same day with my dad.... -

Chris Crash queueing for coffee at monmouth at high noon. I was getting BBQ supplies and he was bagging ambrossio hubs I won last week at HH. Are they really that shit?

^^It was okay - I've got a deeply ingrained program for riding it fixed, so the whole geared experiment is weird. I took it easy and did a 2.20, but am not fit enough for repeats at the moment.
dogsballs and illy both found the Bec a lot easier - caspar agrees with me that the Bec is more psychologically challenging (i.e. boring, and easy enough to allow your mind to start playing games).
There was a bloke down there (with his son?) who won the veterans a few years ago. He's a below-the-knee amputee. Major fucking chapeau to him.

Doing the Wigmore next Sunday, think its near Leeds Castle(?), not been out to look at it so will prob just crack on down there in the morning. If the old man doesnt fancy the TT Ill be at Yorks the week after, hopefully see a few there. Chapeau to anyone that does Yorks on fixed.
-
• #6865
Yorks is sort of easier on fixed - just the transition from mad spinning to slow grinding that is a shock.
I've done the Wigmore - there's another climb parallel and to the West which is good for warming up on.
You have to start with a wooden block under your rear tyre (hill start).
I did it 39x16 or 39x17 - can't remember. I didn't know the course, and should've gone a bit faster at the bottom. Think I managed a 3.25ish that year (not a good year for me).
It's a good event, with all the usual suspects.

lpg - on Upper St near the Screen On The Green at about 5.15pm.
Possibly going even slower than I was.
As ever, I remained invisible.
hey, spotted! what bike were you riding? I mainly look at the bike, then possibly the rider (if its a girl!). I was going slow cos i had clips+straps and it had no brakes, quite annoying, anyone got a deep drop old-style front brake?
-
• #6872
I was on my anti-fixie, which is still fixed. Panniers and homemade UPVC windowsill mudguard. It's all the rage.
