Shimano Nexus 8 hub

I'm sure I saw on the web somewhere a hack for turning a Nexus hub (possibly 7 speed?) into a three speed fixed.... have been looking for it recently as would be perfect for a project I got brewing.... but beginning to wonder if I dreamed the whole thing.....even sheldon doesn't help with this one....

Anyone able to help with a link?

I know a Strumney Archer can be done this way.
