  • for two-fifty you can sort yourself out something on ebay that will get you going, no need to spend six hundred notes first time. You can easily end up with an old Reynolds 501 frame by Raleigh or summat, with a build with modest second hand components. Plenty going I guess it's about getting a feel for whether the seller built/converted it and if so did they have a clue what they were doing.

    Looking on here's a fine idea seeing as there's some people who do know what they're doing.

    For £150 you could buy a half-decent old road bike on ebay and then spend the rest having a pop at converting it yourself; then it would be a lot better than most of the fixed conversions on ebay.
