Heh, I wonder what Crass would think?
-
• #5429
Crass were lots of different people, so hopefully they'd have differing opinions on it. Apart from one thing they'd all think, which is 'pump that fucking front tyre up you cunt'

I LOVE that Cinelli/Mash bike! It's fucking HOT!
yeah, it's giving me bad thoughts. i want that real bad.
and what is up with people not hanging their pictures on the wall? (a few posts above this is a prime example)

lol, that Cinelli MASH bike has a livestrong band on the front hub.
I also can't see why most of you are getting so excited about it. Its pretty run of the mill looking really.
Does it have square chain stays?
yuck. -

See.

See.
Nothing a pair of scissors wouldn't sort.
I like it a lot. The more I look at it, the more I like it. I think it's the colour scheme mainly but I love that top tube.

is a custom painted cinelli-vigorelli...
-

Looks like the top tube slopes a bit more giving a bit more of an aggressive stance too. I quite like it... the colours are an improvement on the previous incarnations also imho

Paul I know your heavily medicated, and very old, and these things effect eyesight and judgment, but that is clearly anti porn. look at that stem and bar combo, the lay-back seat post, then the saddle all the way forward on the rails, cheepo cranks, and black bars when the rest of the bike is sliver.
Whats with all these bike on the couch photos? and why are the posters not hung? the hipster owner afraid that swinging a hammer will make his arms to big to fit in his tight gray American Appeal cardigan?
-

yeah, it's true, I'm wandering if the sloping comes just cos of the size or is another customization but for sure is the same tubing of the vigorelli..
another nice one is this one
(custom for a guy in italy)and in general Mr Colombo is a cool bloke and he is really in love with the "new" use of fixed wheel (and he is sponsoring quite a few alley cats as well)
(I'm still refering to the vigorelli but the evolution of the topics is too quick for my brain....)

That just looks like a standard Vigorelli painted black with a cinelli sticker on the front. The mash one is definitely not standard geometry

Top tube looks live it has a more v shaped profile than standard oval tubing

to me it looks the same tube but with the narrow part of the section pointing downwards instead than upwards ("V" instead than "A") and, of course with a different angle...
the standard colors of the vigorelli are awful.. -

well, the best explanation is simply that certain landlady/lord don't allowed people to put a nail on the wall in order to hung stuff.
I also love the Cinelli MASH bike, and most especially the slighty sloped top tube, anything low=pro (even if it not really) sweetened the deal for me.

does anyone know the name of the designs of the old warship modernist camo designs which seems to have inspired the new cinelli/mash collabo?...

you mean the "Dazzle Painting" effect that used to confused enemies back in the 1st world war before radar were invented?
If so, nah, the Cinelli graphic design is far too linear to be considered a dazzle painting, would be cool thought, do it properly and people will instantely think it's an HGV from a distance.
I humbly apologize sir
