  • Not susre if this is the right place to post but my brother found this on Gumbay: http://www.gumtree.com/london/50/28893850.html Funnily enough it is exactly the same as the bike he had nicked in Crackney. He phoned the guy up and asked why he was selling it so cheap. The seller apparently mumbled something about it being a present from his dad but he was more of a mountain biker. Bit sus as it is the pic clearly pasted from the web-site as is the blurb. I take it the po-po aren't interested?

The headset is black and is has a Dirty Harry front brake.

Whenever i see these ads on gumtree i naturally assume they're stolen... it just seems like a copy & paste slap up.

"Find comfort in the drops with ergonomic Specialized Comp bars" that's a sales pitch from the manufacturers not from an owner, this is my interpretation of these ads but i could be wrong.

  • Confession: Today about 5min ago i couldn't stop a bike theif who was cutting locks across from 2 London Wall buildings. i stopped; confronted him and another older woman stopped as well but a few feet away. I could not make my voice loud enough to attract any attention (i have laringitus). No men stopped so the theif just got on the bike shugged me off and rode away. Not a single suited individual looked at us, the older woman looked to afraid..
    Apathy makes me ill.

  • should stuck something in his front spokes ;)

  • Sorry Jacqui, you've witnessed 'everything that is wrong with this country'.
    don't give up! :-)

  • Dalston

  • Damn its hard to know what to do in that situation Jacqui. :(

  • crack him over the head with your lock

  • I saw a guy in Lancaster nicking an old Rockhopper singlespeed. Just took a pic on my camphone and showed the cops. He's in court next week. THE NUGGET!!!

  • that's a damn good idea.

  • One of my best mate!

  • Hi there,
I had my 2008 LeMond Fillmore stolen at 19:30 25/09/08 from outside the Coach and Horses pub, 26-28, Ray St, London, EC1R 3DJ. The lock was cut, and I have reported to the police.

    Changes from stock:

    Shimano SPD pedals
    Black Brook's B17 saddle,
    Schwalbe stevlio tyres
A mounting for a Garmin 605 on the stem.
and small CatsEye front and rear lights.

If anyone sees it at Brick Lane or on Gumtree please drop me a line.

    Cheers - David.
