  • size 44, $20, good condition, I've a spare set of cleats for them that have never been fitted (included)

  • I'm in Nottingham, I'll check when i'm in the office tomorrow on the model.

Ahh im in Tamworth, oh how very rude of me not to say how mighty fine your bike looks!!! But like has already been said the lever would look better in a different position.

    Guy

  • Sounds good... £20 or $ postage to notttingham? and are they the hard sole type or the softer sort?

Your very kind. I'll gladly pass them on for a tenner delivered. Again, i'll let you know the type tomorrow.

Balls i didn't read the bit where you said where you were based? 20 for the shoes but i need to check about postage tomorrow, it'll prob be about 10. they are hard sole. Good shoes but a little too *sonic the hedgehog *for my tastes.

  • Cheers Charco, might be up for those, just need to decide about the soles really..

No probs Toby, i'll be hanging onto them anyway, just PM me.

  • i've got a problem (UTFS - came up with this, so gonna post it here),
sometimes when I do an emergency skid - shoes unclip from one of the spd pedals and it makes f*cking dangerous trying to brake with one foot, till you clip the f*cker back in. tried to tighten pedals to the max, but it keeps happening from time to time. could well be it's just me. if anyone had such experience and solved it somehow - tell me, please.

  • how worn are your cleats?

  • how worn are your cleats?

ah yeah, didn't mention that, cleats are few months old, but still in a very good condition, almost like new, it's not that. the pedals are few months old (xtr's). don't think it's a problem.

  • get sidi's and time atacs.

  • you have multi release cleats.

  • you have multi release cleats.

ah, that could be it. tbh i didn't even know about "multi release cleats" till i googled it 1 minute ago. thank you MrSmyth!

  • you have multi release cleats.

    +1.

    Multi:

    Single:

  • I still don't unclip with multis but feel a bit more secure in the singles. It will only happen if you twist your foot whilst skidding, which is technique fail anyway. On the other hand, the instructions for the multi release cleats specifically state that they are not suitable for use in applications that require pulling up on the pedal (from the rest of the context they seem to be referring to jumps and such like, but even so.)

  • meh, just looked on the cleats and it says "SHIMANO SM-SH51", which is Standard Single Release

  • Is one pedal adjuster tighter than the other?
