Names and faces to bikes

It comes down to something i said the other day...some people seem far more interested in being part of the 'scene' than they are in what the scene originally grew from.
Just lately your post count has gone through the roof...and your new found quest for notoriety on here was summed up perfectly by your thread about 'just joined or thinking of signing up'....to anybody new to this forum it instantly gave the impression that you're some kind of forum leader or moderator...when in fact you've barely been 6 months on here and only started riding fixed a few months ago.

You can twist it into another of your crowd pleasing 'just being enthusiastic/trying to get back that feeling i had when i was a child' arguments...but it's coming across to me as somebody who wants everybody on the forum...new and old to know your name and who you are.

Now i may have been ranting a lot lately too...and i stand by those rants...but as you proved by your worrying knowledge of the rep count stats...you seem far more interested in impressing people with your posts than i am.

Now why don't you go get your Thesaurus and your notepad and go and draft up next weeks posts....you'll have plenty of time to make them as effective as possible at boosting both your ego and your notoriety.

You may think i'm being rash Phil...but don't bring me into your petty little rants again unless i've had some kind of input into it.

you're wrong Scott, and you're out of order. I only brought you into this at all because i was trying to reason why such a mild observation from me brought Object out calling me a "dumb cunt" (which was his original, unedited comment) and a "fucking moron", when various people say various things of a similar tone and don't get Object wading in. You've been posting some fairly "grumpy old man" shit so were the first person to come to mind, i believe I did say "and anyone else".

I don't seek notoriety or fame on a fucking bike forum, get real. Most of the time I'm only trying to crack people up. I'm sorry if you think I sit there with a thesaurus or a notepad, as far as I was concerned i was posting - usually - bollocks. You're putting some kind of malicious aspect on it and that's what's out of order.

What you and Object seem to be saying is any time I feel slightly grumpy and post something in that mood then you'll squash it because I'm too uppity.. I don't believe I have done anything here other than respond to Object - and now yourself. And come on Scott - you're doing Object's trick of putting words in my mouth. I feel rather tired of it all at the point you mention "rep", but for the benefit of others there's this thing called "rep" where apparently you come to dominate the forum and at the end of the year you win a gold house and you cycle slowly through the streets of London as everyone waves ribbons shouting "do a skid" and throwing flowers and chocolates for you and your mam and da are there with your bairns in their arms and everyone's cryin and they're all cryin with happiness cos you're skilliant.

Yeah, I'm all out for rep, me.

Oh yeah and note the time - just clocking off out of my boring as fuck job, feeling wonderful after all this confrontation, cos that's what i'm all about, I really am, I might even start calling everyone "cunt" all the time.
