Personally I don't like it that much but I know some on here will love it, especially those with no taste - like dale ;p
sorry it doesn't have black brooks on it ;) -

It's fucking horrific.

• #4
...i'm not going to lie...i like it.
-
• #5
I like it. (esp the stem)
But then again, i'm a cunt. -

I'd take the frame, forks and seatpost if they were giving them away, looks quite nice. The components leave me cold.
-
• #7
Nah! Over designed in the colour matching dept. IMHO
-

aren't otp's always a bit to colour matched anyhow?!
I like it, i guess retail will be around £600 though so i think i'd rather build something up myself but it does look nice. It's amusing how some bike companys are trying to make the off the peg fixed gears look least like otp's (see giant bowery ?83?, and this fuji) -

Agree, but this OTP is really OTT

is it just me or did they copy a unipac look??
I think it would look better with white tyres.. ;) -
• #11
bet it goes for more than 600. i know thats a straight currency exchange, but bet its more like 750. sits in fuji's site under 'lifestyle' - might be a hint on performance?
-
• #12
definitely over colour-matched but not as bad as some others..

Best to consult the PistaDex for an answer...
UK Bianchi Pista 400 quid
US Bianchi Pista 600 dorraSo that would make the Fuji around 900 quid??

looks exactly like the OBEYxFuji

I think it would look better with white tyres.. ;)Just what I was thinking. Any black/red bikes I see now scream Unipack.

hmmm - can get a shit load of bike for between 7-900!
ive just ordered an 08 fuji track - could spray it black and save about 600 quid.

besides the OTT colour co-orination it's the stem and bars combo that bothers me, jus looks all wrong.
-
• #18
dracula's teabags come to mind.
-
• #19
ha!
it's quite red.

I was chatting to our Fuji rep at work the other day and it basically is, just with slightly cheaper components and a lower price point. I'm never quite sure what to make of the pricier steel OTPs from the 'big boys' - I figure that anyone that's going to spend $1200 on a steel track bike knows enough to not buy an OTP, but to build one themselves.
It seems like they're pushing it at a really particular demographic of folks that want the 'look' of a classic track bike and aren't that clued up about things like parts and performance and so on.
Then again, I just work in a bike shop, not for a manufacturer, so what do I know?

I've been trying to work out what I dislike, and I think its the rims, and seatpost.
I don't like the shape of the saddle either, but thats lesser.

GA2G - I started from the other end, i.e. what do I like about this? It didn't take long.

looks exactly like the OBEYxFuji
and thats why I like it !
I really like the frame, components are a bit "toy-like"

I love the OBEY Fuji, it look so much better, but this one is nice, it just certain compound just made it less appealing, like the other said, too much colour matching.
in fact, I´d simply change the stem, the bar, the tyres (all black), the seat post and saddle, then it´d look rather menacing.
actually speaking of menacing, it look like dennis the menace bike.
