Nah, he's right, it's all about Hollywood heft. Pacino probably has a clause in his contract saying that his name can only appear to the right of de niro's if it's higher up, or a larger font. Poster designer chose the latter. It's a complicated business, any film poster these days 90% a reflection of a bunch of conflicting legal/contractual clauses, 8% shoddy misquotes from shitty free papers, and 2% design.
