  • You could try ringing Trasmanche and hoping you get a human being. I was under the impression that they had started taking foot passengers which suggests that pushbikes should not be a problem but there may be some sort of health and safety problem. Surely a bike could be counted as hand luggage under those circumstances, it might be worth trying to talk yourself on board...

    Failing that, you could try Norfolk Line who have a route from Dover to Zeebrugge which would put a few kilometres on your journey. But as far as I know they don't take foot passengers, though I think they take motorbikes. (www.norfolkline.com)

    Other than that, as far as I know P&O Ferries and Seafrance take pushbikes on their Dover-Calais routes but that's taking you a long way out of your way.
