Those aren't recessed, hope you don't have wooden floorboards.
Egg beater cleats will wear out quite rapidly(like Time ones) if not protected.
The plate and hard plastic insole are two distinct items.
tilover, have you used a hard plastic insole or just bolted the cleats to the plate through the shoes sole?
