That's not luck, luck is when you're travelling to Paris from Glasgow and spotted your beloved bike that got stolen a couple days ago outside the hotel not locked up, luck would be spotting the theft riding your bike outside your house hours after it got stolen and managed to get it back by sneering at him.
No, he simply use his brain instead, and got his bike back, I mean, he found his stolen bike via gumtree and got it back, simply by learning that gumtree is the first place you should look if your bike got stolen.
the 2nd time around, he simply not only having learnt the gumtree method but also the location of where the bicycle tend to end up - the east end especially Brick Lanes, and what do you know - he got his bike back.
Nothing to do with luck, more to do with actually using your brain, saying that it's luck is an insult which would assumed he didn't do much to get it back.
