  • the other frame was ten times better than this one????

  • Explain to me why 31trum? I genuinely thought no one would want it, it was a very old steel bike!

  • The majority of riders here would take steel over any other material.

  • geeez, a lot of people like retro steel frames, a bit of history etc, a smooth ride, as opposed to some cheap looking alu frame, which is as stiff and unforgiving.

  • fair enough. but then why do you see guys riding heds and even discs around london?

  • If you all like steel so much then I should sell my tange infinity road frame too. I'll post that tomorrow when I get some pictures in daylight. god only knows how much I should advert that for.

  • heds and disks are purely for style no other reason.
    take a look at the ebay/craiglist thread, see what people are looking at, prices etc.
    a ferw here also like alu frames. horses for courses.

    As 31trum says, it's generally for fashion/aesthetics as opposed to performance. It's not to everyones taste though.

    You've got some nice stuff trackracer. Just so you know, the general way of doing business on the forum is to offer goods for a set price (be it currency or beer) and the first to send you a private message gets it. This way, frames and components find themselves a good home and members usually get a nice deal.... If you want to get the most profit, then best throw it on fleabay.

    Peace.

  • Ok I'm sorry, I just thought it would be nicer to sell it here than the bay. And I got private messages of offers on the Walvale before I even looked back at the thread.

  • fair enough. but then why do you see guys riding heds and even discs around london?

    because you see morons in london too

  • @trackracer..fair play to you for doing so, coulda put "best offer" as a price mind ;)

  • it not really a bargain when a couple tenner get you an IRO Mark V frame, which is undoubtly much better than that alu track frame;

  • I know who bought it...

    Actually i disagree with you there, if you ignore the paint job that is a fine frame for the track, whereas the IRO is a decent road frame
