I just took the Storck out for it's maiden voyage...50x17 singlespeed.
Going from a bike like my brooklyn to a bike like the storck is bloody hard...i'm so used to being able to plow through potholes,up curbs etc...gonna take me a while to learn to be delicate again...:)Also...this is the first road bike i've ever had to mount by swinging my leg over the bars....reason being...i just sliced my shin open swinging it over the carbon saddle and catching my leg on it...:)

looks nice, although I'm not keen on the way the flight saddle look generally. Did you get the colnago for 10 pence too?
Where on earth did you get that bike for 240 quid?? They are campy pista cranks and ring too!
-
• #706
no, the colnago was a bit more then 10p!
yeah im not sure about the saddle -

LOL 've repped for that! Now I have a name for my bike.....Thumper! ;)
Took it out for a quick burn tonight. Twitchy front end, but in a nice way if you know what I mean. Bloody light (compared to the other one anyway) and very nippy. Still not to sure about the stem though. Might have to raise it up a bit!!

My current project, or first build. It's a Raleigh Royale, picked up for about 8£, I live in Norway so parts are hard to scavenge. If you guys have any tips in how to build this as cheaply as possible, shout out

Hi johnp3004
I also live in Norway (Ålesund), and have also had difficulty getting parts (+tools) for my build. I am not really doing a budget build as such (although it started that way) so I'm not sure how useful this will be to you, but here is were I bought my parts from.www.probikekit.com
Cheap with free delivery to Norwayhttp://www.branfordbike.com/
http://www.velo-orange.com/
http://www.universalcycles.com/
Based in the US but with resonable delivery chargeshttp://www.hubjub.co.uk/
http://www.freshtripe.co.uk/Freshtripe/Home.html
Based in the UKI also bought a far bit off Ebay. The main problems for me were frame and wheels. It looks like you already have a suitable frame (nice BTW) and if your rims are in OK shape you could just get the back wheel rebuilt with a suitable hub (there are other ways of fixing the back wheel but they are a bit beyond me).
Good luck!
PS I'm hopping to be finished in time for the 2009 nibberittet (havent decided on my gear ratio yet though).
