  • RICE for a couple of days as suggested already. If the pain is still bad find a good physio for advice, if the pain diminishes but returns with cycling look into a cyclefit or similar.

    If your knee has been knocked around a bit then there may be a little bit of arthritis which can be aggravated by the cold so keep it warm when on the bike.

    Do you stretch after cycling? if not the muscles and tendons may be getting too tight.

    As others have noted knees can be complicated, so take all advice on the internet with a pinch of salt.
