Corny, I agree with you on certain aspects. People do need to think more before they post, to be honest I skip over so many posts as their worth is likely not of interest. I've lost count of the amount of people on my ignore list. I've got bored of readin the endless shit just to find the nice bits. The forum is a state compared to what it was, this is due to the sheer amount of people joining as some are bound to be morons. But as I've been re3ading today it has struck me just how many of those pointless posts are emoticon heavy. The usage of such seems to overtake the actual nonpoint made. Remove peoples excessive over use of emoticons and they'll have to think about what they write just so they can get the same point across. Most people when forced to think are suprisingly capable and would even realise themselves that they're just adding content for the sake of posting.
Don't get me wrong, it's not just new users. There are older users who are just as guilty. Posting endless shit just to build a name for themselves in the community that we represent. It's ther perpetual fucking one-up-man-ship mentality which derails all of the posts that may have been worth reading.
