  • If you saw me yesterday you'd have noticed I was on a polo gear of 50.3
Rear cogs don't come much bigger than the 23 I run.

Your bike, by the way, is less of a budgie and more of a diseased london pigeon. I've had less decrepit bikes put to sleep (for their own good).

Your fine self had all the grace of a liquidised toad on valium.

Who was that old lady speeding past you on a dutch bike? Now that bitch had some style and the requisite speed to go with it. Your grandma per chance?

I thought this was a single speed forum and I have a single speed, which is slow.

However my Grandma, who is not a bitch but a very loving elderly lady was not on a Dutch bike but a Dutch style* bike manufactured by the most English of bike makers, Pashley. She did pass me as she was late for her WI meeting. To be honest she can't half crank it for a lady of advanced years (it's all about deep muscle memory you know) and I bet you would be left in the wake as well.

Your analogy of me riding like a "liquidised toad on valium" on reflection it is correct. It may not be graceful as a chetaah (I think I did over-rate my ability), but it sure is smooooth in fact I bet you can't get smoother than that.

Finally as it was pointed out to me the other day, as long as one rides it doesn't matter what is ridden. The simple fact is one is riding.

    As scott not scot said:

Why do people keep thinking that if they come on here ***gging certain bikes or types of riders we're all gonna 'lol' your comments and share a ****ing chuckle at someone elses expense?

*[clever marketing term for traditional bike]
