I've got something that I use for bench vice duties, strong grip nice and secure. It's strong enough to use as a small anvil to bend bits of metal over, holds freewheel toold tight e.t.c
What exactly do you need to do? What about a couple of pairs of pipe grips?
EDIT: Can lend both.

i have chuck norris tied to a table, I think he can help you.
Chuck Norris doesn't read books, he stares them down until he gets the information he needs. Fact.

hippy, if you can get to The Mall at any time with the bits, I can probably get you into the ICA's workshop (there's a bench mounted vice).
PM me if this is any use. -

Where are you? We have a seriously meaty machine vice at work you would be welcome to use. I'm at the top of Shaftesbury Avenue if you want to drop in next week sometime? PM me if you're interested.
I don't mean shagging k-holed, latex-clad midgets on a bench, as a vice, per se. No, what I mean is, one of my fscking Powertap hub covers won't come off with the pathetic plastic wrench thing. I need a bench vice to attack it with.
Anyone have one?
