  • What a beautiful morning to be riding a bike! :)

  • yup, had a great ride in this morn, only half yelled at one person....bright times

  • It certainly was, although there were some right dicks on the road today.
Best lame comeback after a white van turned into me and i gave him the 'use your fucking eyes' hand gesture, was him rolling down the window as I passed him at the next set of lights and saying gruffly 'Wear Hi-Viz then' I couldnt stop laughing at him.

  • Glad someone was thinking the same as me, it truely was a pleasure, especially being off the bike for the last 2 days! Looks the same for the rest of the week too! :)

  • had good music today too, the ipod shuffled just right. good day indeed. (have i just jinxed it? .... )

  • Rise above Clefty . . . rise above! :)

  • It s even sunny in edinburgh

  • I found it pretty funny actually. Bright Sunshine, me in black, him in Van wearing the mythical anti-van Hi-Viz he spoke of. It was a proper Seinfeld Jerkstore moment hahah.

  • Nice! Glad it didn't spoil it 4 ya. I got shouted at by a van driver but didn't even hear/care what he was saying, a quick middle finger from me and I took off, sunshing helps me ride faster! Woo Hoo!

  • I'm never going to complain about idiot cyclists again (this week).

The central line suspension last night meant I was the wrong side of London to my bike this morning and had to endure 45 mins of commuting with people who think washing is not compulsory and women who think a sweaty moustache is still acceptable in this century.

  • A lovely day to ride in - and only one goon to contend with (ginger headed beardy twat on Walworth road who almost took down a woman and her two kids by going onto the pavement at a pedestrian crossing).

  • I'll second that 'woohoo'. It's been a great week all-round for riding, a late night couple of laps of Richmond Park on Monday night under the full moon, a 50-miler yesterday in v pleasant conditions before work, and really enjoying the sunny blast into work this morning.

Weather to stay clear and still into the weekend. More woohoos to come :)

  • yep must agree, left home early this morning and it was nice and cold, could see the sun starting to shine on the city as I was coming down Highgate Hill

  • ginger headed beardy twat

    BRM's in aus isn't he?!?

  • I even got snapped by a tourist with a huge camera on my way thru Piccadilly, he gave me a big smile and a wave! Seems everyone is happy today!

  • I'm guessing none of you had to go through the city then?! Apparently a cyclist was killed by a lorry on Lower Thames Street and it was Chaos. Sorry to put a dampener on things.

  • FUCK!!!!! That awful!

  • BRM's in aus isn't he?!?

Could also have been me, except I'm in Amsterdam!

  • Yes, a lovely ride in, detoured to see my sister's kids on the way to school in Westminster, big cuddle off my two year old niece followed by leisurely pootle along the river... Glorious... :D

    Now that's what i'm talkin' about! :)

  • watch all the numpty's on the way home though!!!

  • While we're sharing the Love . . . http://www.timeout.com/london/features/5506/30_ways_to_be_a_better_Londoner.html

    1. Be a good cyclist
Yes, cycling is good but, please, don’t bully your way to the front of the cycle queue at the lights (it’s rude) and give pedestrians right of way wherever you can (it’s polite).
  • i was thinking the exact same thing!
I spent so long thinking what makes a good ride i missed several key turnings and rocked in an hour late.
the list in my head so far (for the perfect ride) was

    • New bearings
    • Cold breeze and hot sun
    • Sleep past the alarm but still no real deadline to rush to
    • few nodders and a good tune going between your ears......... Bright times!
  • :) indeed.
My new sidi's arrived yesterday and from my office window I can see the media scrum descend on HBOS head office like vultures.
