Anyone for climbing?

Thanks I know where the courses are but I was wondering if they are really worth it or if it's better to get an experienced friend to take you on a few sessions to explain the ropes e.t.c

The Castle courses are expensive, but from what i am told, reasonably good. If you do have mates who can let you tag along, my view is that you will enjoy learning a lot more from them and you can spend the money saved in the pub. Also, if you're planning on climbing routes (on ropes) you'll need at least one friend anyhow.
