I keep forgetting about the liver, probably because I can't see/feel it. Apparently its slightly torn, and they were worried about internal bleeding, which meant they took my blood pressure every two hours, and it must be ok as they let me out.

that'll be fine then, it's when they take the blood pressure every 20 mins that you're in trouble
