hey marmet, I'd be up for coming for some longer rides/finding a female friendly club (I'm a girl, honest!) - I'm really not feeling the vibe of the more well-known clubs and I'm not keen on the lycra look either, I just like riding without all the BS. I'm not superfit but I can happily go at a moderate pace all day. I've been doing some longer rides (between 75-110miles) with friends over the past few weeks - PM me if you want to come join us some time. I'm going to try to go on the Rollapaluza club ride on Sun too. Be good to hear what you find out too.
Hope to see you there, stelle. Weather's looking promising...

How much wood would a woodchuck chuck if a woodchuck could chuck wood?
A woodchuck would chuck no amount of wood since a woodchuck can't chuck wood.
Yay!! Monkey Island quotes go with my avatar.

Dulwich do have quite a few female riders, and this year there's been quite a push by a few to race. They regularly do well at the Crystal Palace crits and last time I was racing at Herne Hill, there were five or six racing (from different clubs as well). Check Mariad's posts on the Paragon racing forum.

Best game series ever.

Another recommenrdation for the Rollapaluza club run. We did about 50 odd miles last week and it was all friendly fun. This sunday looks like we'll have a great crew :-)

I think I should too! I will be greedily picking brains about ahem road bikes because I WANT ONE! and I know nowt about such things. really want to come but I'm on an event which is unlikely to allow me home before 4.30am so as long as I'm not asleep will be there.

Sorry if this is a stupid question.
BUT.....
Do you have to join the Rollapaluza club to be allowed to go on the ride on Sunday? -
• #39
No - just come along, and then think about joining afterwards :)

But non-members have to buy cake and coffee at any food stops.. and beer at the end.. ;)

Stelle, sounds brilliant, am definately up for some rides together. Tried to message you, but bloody thing says I don't have the right priviliges to send you a message...ahhhhhhh computers!!!Will try again later and hopefully it will work, this website for some reason makes my computer want to crash, I may have dropped it just a few to many times!
...also, I have been under the illusion that marmets/marmots were more like ferrets, those wood chuck beasties look like they not only chuck chop wood it looks like they bloody eat too. High corumber! -

would you chuck a woodchuck in a wood to see how much wood a woodchuck could chuck in the wood if a woodchuck could chuck wood?
