A-head describes a headset system not a type of fork.
A threaded 1" fork will work in an ahead setup if the steerer is long enough to give your stem a clamping area.
Just a tip to help you find some suitable forks quicker :)

am well aware of that, but technically it is an a-head headset, so therefore a-head forks.do't be a pedant.

he is i admit it, but i hab=ve always known them as ahead forks, so thats what i ask for, it has always worked.

So i guess the title says it all, i am looking for a pair on cyclocross forks, touring forks, hybrid forks. In short any forks with cantilever mounts!
