Ditto, went in there for a cable for my brompton today and always friendly. I 90% of my stuff there.

  • I am a recent convert since swapping some bits with Hassan.
Great people and nice bike porn in there.

Somehow always sunny when I ride over too.

  • i used condor as an example of a major bike shop,im sure most people would prefer to shop in an independent shop like Cavendish cycles..i know i would.

@ aidan: Condor are an independent bike shop! OK, not your average LBS, but they are independent - the reason they are bigger than your LBS is because they have an excellent reputation, and they have been around forever.

You can tell that Condor are independent: Evans have opened a shop in the same street. Although I see where you are coming from, I have a problem with the statement above.

@ billa See this thread and stop slagging people off behind their backs.

  • Only had good service from Cavandish. I needed my bike valued for insurance, they did it for free. I wanted a wheel trued and they taught me how to do it myself (for free). The only problem I have had is that sometimes they don't let me pay and that was before I started buying all my stuff from them.

  • The only problem I have had is that sometimes they don't let me pay

    i want this problem

  • They were really helpful to me when I bought my IRO. On a Saturday. But the two staff in there were both English, don't know that other geezer.

    racist!

  • I think it is because I go on a Saturday and they don't seem too busy. At 8.30 in the morning weekdays there are usually queues outside and lunchtimes are hectic.

  • You can tell that Condor are independent: Evans have opened a shop in the same street.

I'm going to give you some reputation for that, and I'd accept it graciously if I were you, seeing as it's been bequeathed by a giant amongst reputees.

  • this may be of interest cavendish just recieved a big shipment from EAI, so loads of stuff there
champ grips (including the fatter ones)
    nitto stems
    cogs and lockrings
    deep Vs

  • ooo stiffy!

  • I was in at lunchtime too; boxes and boxes of stuff everywhere. Lots of Nitto coloured drops and risers toestraps and the like.

  • thank fuck i didn't drop by this morning, my wallet would have taken a pounding

  • saw your green pedals in there, then saw the same ones in blb

  • don't think so
