My skills include:

- helping young people
- garnering rep points by the fistful
- being kind to dimwits

Things I really want to learn how to do:
- use the ignore function for retarded 'ooh i'm bored what can i write' threads

on a scale of retardedness its positively sensible. people can share tips on stuff innit. From the 'trackstand direction' thread, I was getting the hint that people wanted to share more about what level they are at. Also, I had a good search, seems to be a big lack of trick based threads.

err. having had a fixed for 4 months, and being rather lazy when it comes to tricks:
- trackstands <-- is that even a trick?
- 1 handed trackstand
- wallrides
- 180 bunnyhops <--only on the flat, not up anything
learning:
- backward circles
- skidding with any control
- trackstands <-- is that even a trick?

my skills include:
- wiping my bottom properly (right handed, left handed - working on no handed) (with paper: close to completing)
- noseplant down the stairs to answer the phone when my trousers are still round my ankles
- not going over the handlebars while breaking wind along the Old Kent Road
- going successfully over the handlebars while applying the appropriate amount of front brake suddenly and decisively, e.g. to avoid ploughing into a pedestrian
- preparing a syringe with minimal wasteage of barbiturate when Countdown's starting.

To me those both sound far above what I can imagine doing, wallrides? I tried to ride up a very shallow bank, pedal striked straight away and almost got thrown!
And I can only just about do a 180 hop on my BMX, to do it on a road bike would be nuts.
Backwards circles are bloody easy, got em straight away. Youll be doing em in to time. Its easier on bikes that have a foward weight bias, or just lean foward a lot!

Can you ride it back again? - that's the trick bit.

Quelle surprise...Juvenile crassness only due to peer pressure. This was only supposed to be a thread about how to master extremeley useful skills such as riding backwards and doing pirouettes on completely sensible bicycles, of course.

Things that I definetley cannot do, that I really want to:
- Ride my fixed bike with no hands (however simple that sounds)
- Wheelie
- Barspins (got drops! & no clearance)
- Bunnyhop up kerbs confidently
- Spinning on the back wheel.
well get out there and practice then, instead of "frontin" the forum with your posting "skilz"
and number 5 is really fucking easy, just ride, the back wheel will spin round, amazing.
- Ride my fixed bike with no hands (however simple that sounds)
I thought it would be interesting to hear what skills/tricks everyone can do.
Ive not had a working bike for much of this year, havent really been trying any 'tricks' yet but am comfortable with:
Trackstand (bars turn left = stronger)
No hand trackstand
Back ward circles
Bunny Hops
Skidding/skipping (only regular footed) & reverse pedalling to stop
Working on/close to:
180 skid to fakie out
no handed backward circle
Riding backwards
Things that I definetley cannot do, that I really want to:
And you?
