I had a request to help with the polo tournament by creating a team email alias.
The gist of this is that the team wanted to:
Set up a user for their team
have it so that when that user was PM'd, that all team members were notified
Basically it's an email list where the name of the list is the team name, and all of the team members are on the list, and then they register a user on the forum using that email address, and after that whoever contacts the team is implicitly talking to the whole team.
Easy stuff, so done.
Emailing teamname@londonfgss.com will now CC the three people in that team. (They're not really called 'teamname', that's an 'example'.)
Now, since I've set up that facility for that team I might as well open it to everyone.
You can have a mailing list if you want one, just let me know what you want the list called, and all of the email addresses you want to go onto it.
Additionally, if you want a gmail account that is related to the londonfgss.com domain, you can have that too (or separately).
Summary:
If you want yourname@londonfgss.com as a Gmail account, just ask.
If you want listname@londonfgss.com as a mailing list, just ask and let me know all of the email addresses you want to be on the list.
Cheers
David
Instructions for setting up a team member and email list:
1) Decide on team name.
2) PM VelocityBoy the team name and the email addresses of each person in the team.
3) Once VelocityBoy has setup your mailing list, register a new user for the team using the mailing list address as your registration email address.
4) Finished, party!
Instructions for setting up a londonfgss.com gmail account:
1) PM VelocityBoy your desired email address as well as your first name and last (I cannot create it without a first name or last name)
2) Wait until VelocityBoy PMs you back your account details and temporary password.
