This thread has reminded me of something that happened to my old boss the other day . . .
He has a Maybach, and was looking at getting a new one, so sent his driver off to test drive a new one . . the driver has had it for a couple of hours, and he parks up in Mayfair to have a fag. A bunch of 14/15 year olds come over, and ask to have a look at the car, he thinks they are harmless enough so agrees.
The kids are looking around inside, however the driver has left the key fob (it has keyless go, so you only need to have the key fob in the car to start it with the button) in his jacket in the car, the kid in the drivers seat starts it up and drives off, leaving the driver high and dry on the curb.
Since its a brand new car, Mercedes had yet to fit a tracker, so one £400,000 car is still missing, probably gracing an African warlords backyard by now!
